We have several different ethnic/cultural groups, different age groups with retirees, working and career people represented, but we manage to gather now and then and have wonderful sharings and discussions. For various reasons, most of which center around a huge diversity (in every sense -- age, lifestyle and ethnicity) of residents, and an increasingly busy street down the center, few in our neighborhood even know each other. <BR/><BR/>Before we moved to SW PA twenty-three years ago, we lived in a NW neighborhood much like yours, except over the dozen years, the kids became self-sufficient, all the women went to work, and group gatherings dwindled.<BR/><BR/>I never did live in a "front porch" neighborhood, and have a tiny hole in my heart from missing the camaraderie I read about in novels.Sharon Lippincotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16269757107845288737noreply@blogger.com
